Get started in DJing?

Hey all. So I've recently started DJing and putting together mashups and things. I was wondering how I would get started in playing shows and stuff. I just wanna like go to small venues and start out there. I live around west chester, pa so if anyone has any info on things around there that would be great. Thanks for the info in advance.
