Is there a good museum of inventions and technology in London?

I adored the Mus�e des Arts et M�tiers in Paris, which has wonderful old inventions and geeky scientific artifacts for adults. I'd like to find something like it in London. The website for the Science Museum in makes it look pretty kiddie - am I wrong or does anyone know of a cooler geek museum in London?
