Many years ago there when rap was adolescent, there was Criss Cross?

they were two boys and had one hit, "JUMP" for about a month or two, my question is does anybody know what song they sampled? I am not hugely into soul so i have no idea now, does anybody know what it was, or better yet, does anybody remember that "hit"
