Drive with window open to stop carbon monoxide poisoning?

My mother always told me this as a kid. She insists that driving with the window open a half inch or so will save you from being ged by your own car. I have never heard this anywhere else, I only though that was possible if your tailpipe was blocked. I don't see how you tailpipe could suddenly become blocked while driving down the road. Any ideas if this could be true? Im sick of hearing her constantly bugging me about it. I don't like having the window open to long in winter its awful cold where I live. My mother had a total hysterectomy, because of uterine cancer, over 1 1/2 years ago. After surgery she developed a blood clot in her leg so they put her on coumadin. Now I know it's common to have this happen after a major surgery but I don't understand the purpose of staying on this for so long. I don't believe the clot is there anymore and she doesn't have hyperlipidemia. She has always been into the natural approach with everything until she got cancer. While on coumadin, she has to have routine blood worf to check PT/INR to see if they need to decrease or increase the stuff. As long as I have been in medical, I have never really understood this drug. It's not good for anyone. So has anyone ever heard of an alternative to coumadin? I realize she's have to work closely with a Naturalpath but I would think that would be a much better route to take.

Best friend issue?

Me and my best friend, Sam are Vet Interns. We work very hard everyday. This internship means the world to both of us, so we try to work hard. Sam and I, and other collegues, have a guidence teacher who guides us through surgerys and other important taks. AKA our boss. One day he comes up to me and days great job with the surgery. Then I said I know it's wrong going out with your boss but it's love. Then we get into this big argument about how she likes him! I never knew that!

Honestly she sounds like a normal sugar glider to me. I would slow down a little, give her some more time to herself. Go very slow. Keep hand feeding her a mealworm or two a day to gain her trust, but don't force yourself on her. Sugar gliders like small spaces where they can feel safe, so I recommend getting a soft pouch from the pet store. She should crawl right in, and then you can hold the pouch in your lap. Good luck.

OK, so I have this family. THere was a Husband a wife and a few children. Well the father ended up dying (from old age) and so he turned into a ghost. Growing a coconut?

when i was in elementary school(4th grade) we grew a coconut throughout the whole school year. our teacher didnt plant it in any soil or anything of that nature. instead, she just placed it in a clear square gl dish with water. the coconut was submerged in water half way up. out of the pointy side, over time, it auctually started to grow a branch like thing. eventually even two really big leaves started to come out. at the end of the year i won the raffel and got to take the growing coconut home(which my friends and i broke on the street curb as soon as the bell rang). my question is, was that some sort of special coconut? or was it one that i could just buy at a grocery store and do ths? sorry if this sounds stupid. but im just not sure. to me i think i need to get a sp;ecial coconut from some place. it seems like an egg... you cant hatch an egg thats bought from stop and shop.. but can you grow a coconut that you bought there?

I have a daughter who just turned 12. She is very mouthy, disrespectful, rude to her parent and grandparent. She doesn't backtalk her teachers but is doing very poorly in school because she rather be social than do school work at home and at school. She is also at the point where her clmates have already formed clicks and each click are going back and forth with some kind of petty crap. She has been given a little more freedom to do things without an adult around like hanging out at the mall (parent is at the mall just not walking around with them), being dropped off at ice skating etc.... but when she goes to these places she gets kicked out of stores etc..... As a result of misbehaving I've taken away her cell phone, laptop, ipod, going places etc..... but none of these things are working. I've also tried rewarding her with things like having a sleepover or going someplace for good behavior but she never manages to get that far. Any suggestions on how to get her under control with the exception of hittng/beating them?

My opinion on fabricio beating fedor was that fedor didnt really want to win. i believe that fedor needed to lose, in order to relieve some pressure and stress about being the worlds greatest undefeated fighter. To my knowledge, fedor has beaten some of the worlds top fighters who not only were bigger and heavier than fedor but had the explosive desire of beating him. Should I contact an attorney for an ault eye injury?

I was punched rigjt in the eye not around, square in the eye. I saw double and the pain was tremendous. Its been 5 months the police officer involved in this case was laughing at me when i got punched and wouldnt return my calls e-mails! I saw the guy one friday night and that night I told the officer where he lived and the officer a week later said he didnt talk to him because in those apartments you need to get buzzed in or need a key. Hi, i have started a mon-friday 1 hour intense workouts, 30 mins intense cardio and rest is weights and core. Anyone successfully cut down number of night feeding for baby?

My 8 month old gets up 2-4 times a night to nurse. I had to feed her nightly until she was 6 months old due to a health problem. She could not eat so much at one feeding. But now she eats a lot of solids and my doctor said I should cut out some of the night feedings. I know she does not need to eat every 2 hours. It is a habit. I would like to stop feeding her between 11pm - 6am. Right now she gets up at 11, 1, 4 and then 7 usually. I've read that you can just comfort the baby after 11 but not pick her up. But isn't that sending a mixed message if you pick her up sometimes but not others? How do you phase out feedings at those times and say not at the 11pm? I can't see cutting out all the feedings at once. I think she would be hungry because she is used to eating. So I would like to keep it down to 1 or 2. Anyone have this issue and do anything that worked?

I'm planning on having a vegetable garden this year, and need to know the best place to plant so each variety gets the best sun/soil combo. Air handler in my car won't move from defrost. What's the problem?

Recently when I turn on the heat or vent or a/c everything is directed to the defroster. It seems like the air handler won't move off of defrost. What might be the problem? Fuse? Vacuum hose? I can change from hot to cold, and the fan speeds work fine, but everything comes out of the defrost vents. The car is a 1999 Ford Taurus SE 3.0 V6.

How do i break up, spread, and level clay fill dirt (for new lawn) by hand?

I got 30 yards of free fill dirt that turned out to have a alot of clay in it. My brother used a tractor and surprised me by dumping the dirt in piles close to where i needed it, but its all unlevel, thick, matted down. There are mogul piles everywhere. I dont have money for professionals, or to rent another tractor. I need to level the clumpy piles and properly slope it away from the house for proper drainage to the street. Its a mess. It poured rain on it after he spread the piles. I dont know what to do. My intention was to raise the ground 5-6 inches for about an 2-3 thousand square foot area, and the slope it, then put this falls leaves on it, (about 2 feet deep, then after winter mats the leaves down, (when i have more money) to put about 3-4 inches of premium peat mix top soil, and then plant gr. Should i spread peat moss all over it, and add lots of lime? But how do i spread it? When i use a garden rake i can barley budge it. It wasnt liek that before it was dumped in piles and rained... Pregnant and my boyfriend wants his friend to stay with us for awhile, I hate him! what do I do?

Im 20 years old, my boyfriend is 23 years old and I am 5 months pregnant. We just moved into our own house about three weeks ago. Before that I lived with my mom and he lived with two room mates who are very good friends of his. But let me say, I hate those two men. They are the most disgusting low lifes ever. Both have been to prison, one is 28 and the other is 32. One of them works part time with my boyfriend who got him a job, and the other doesnt work at all- he scopes out older woman on the internet and manipulates them into buying him things and paying his rent (true story). Both of their lives revolve around partying and , drinking and women. thats IT. Me and my boyfriend have a lot of trust issues, we have BOTh betrayed eachother numerous times in numerous ways. But we are in love and we are trying to fix things. Because of things that have happened in the past, I told him when I first got pregnant that he was not aloud to live with me and be with me if he was going to continue his ways of drinking and going to bars, and that if he wanted to be with me he had to stop. (I never threatened and never would take his child away). However if he wanted to continue that lifestyle, I told him we could split up and have joint custody of the baby when he's born. ANYWAYS he chose to stop the partying, and now we live together. But not he wants one of the former room mate to live with us the month of March, while he is waiting to move in with other mutual friends. I was in a good mood when he asked me, and I told him yes- so long as he doesn't have girls over at the house and so long as my boyfriend still doesn't go out to bars and come home late and start pulling bullshit like before. but now im stressing out hard, I hate this guy. He's disgusting, they work together- I just know that the second he moves in my boyfriend will start coming home late and coming home drunk and making excuses to stay out... well maybe I don't know, but Im not willing to take the risk. Before moving out together I told him that neither his or my friends could ever live with us, that we are doing this to become a family and thats the end of it. But what do I do? He's going to be really upset if I change my mind.. But I do not want this man in my house. Not to mention, I don't want to be stressing all the time about when he's going to be coming home from work with his friend and stressing my baby. I am already a very pessimistic, high anxiety paranoid person with a lot of trust issues. so anyways, here I am at work dreading the first of March to have this beats come live in my house. HI feel bad that he has no where to go (he will have to move back to LA with his mom, we are in San Diego), but then again he's 28 damn years old and I'm not a babysitter... Any suggestions?

Resolving a suspended license in Chicago?

My license was suspended when I was younger and stupider due to unpaid parking tickets (yes, they can do that here, I didn't realize!!). I have paid off a majority of the tickets, but must go to City Hall to pay the remainder and have my license reinstated. I am terrified--I am afraid I will end up having to go to court or even jail. Since I live in the city, I don't drive, only take public. Still, I want my license back and want this resolved. Day 24 and eggs are moving.....Is this normal?

Moving just means they are turning inside the eggs. The yellow spots, if it is inside the air cell, normally means the duckling has pipped into the air cell, and is perfectly normal. Troubleshooting homemade Corned Beef?

I'm in the process of "corning" my own beef brisket(s) for St. Patrick's day and cooked a taste/test piece. It's been exactly 3 weeks/21 days in the brine and while the flavour was good, there's room for improvement with the texture and tenderness of the meat. The problem I have is that all the recipes I've looked at will tell you to cook the meat for an amount of time but none of them suggest a finished temperature. I found that odd as I'm into BBQ and temperature is everything (i.e. a brisket is ready at around 190*F). Is applying BBQ technique and method to corned beef effective even though they are different cooking methods (I did the corned beef in a crock pot)?

My golden retriever won't fetch so i figure he needs a good activity. Are golden retrievers good tracking dogs, i don't need him to go find my deer just I shot or anything. Just start thinking like a friend. There's a reason to be jealous, but if you look at it in a different way, you'll see that a lot of people would like to be in your position, so don't be like "she's better", because a lot of people are going to be like "what the heck is this lady thinking, she goes to college, and is in a good position in life and is still unsatisfied, what the heck does lady want?" and then you won't make friends because your always going after that better girl (which is a good thing, but you still have a good life.) i have the linksys by cisco wrt400n router Simultaneous Dual-Band Wireless-N Router. It has a 5GHz wireless and a 2.4GHz wireless. Recently the 5GHz one stopped showing up on my ipod's wireless newtwork list and my sister's iPhone but the 2.4GHz one still shows up. I checked the settings for the 5GHZ and it says SSID Broadcast enabled. So why doesnt it show up? PLEASE HELP!!

How should i go about starting a race track?

i am currently 17 so it will be a while before it is a concern, but i live in a city with a population of about 3 million where there are only two dirt oval tracks for sprint and rally cars. when i am older i want to start a business, i love cars and am already planning on taking technician cles, and i was wondering about the legal issues and ethics of my idea, i don't think its an issue with a drag strip so much but i was also wanting to put in an oval track and an off road track and if money allows in the future, other types of courses. I'm worried about legalities though, I'm planning on having it open to anyone whose car can p a safety inspection, and signs a waiver, but of course with extreme sports anyone could get a blowout or lose control in the safest possible conditions, and i don't want families suing me in civil court over injury or god forbid death, i would argue that they knew full and well the risk they took but anything can happen in civil law (remember the lady who spilled McDonalds coffee on herself and sued for millions) and that is not covered by a notarized waiver.

You will see somethin like WPA-PSK then near it will be the pword. On e you find it, write it down, enter that into your wii( by clicking connect) And entering that code.
